Applied Perception has maintained its roots as an innovation driven and merit-based culture. We maintain a start-up feel and foster employee growth by providing on-going training and unique and challenging work assignments. Employees are encouraged to rise to their maximum potential by focusing on individual contributions and abilities rather than formal credentials. We have a flat hierarchy and pride ourselves on not having levels of middle management. Our culture grows out of Carnegie Mellon’s “Reasonable Person Principle,” which says that if you treat people reasonably, and with respect and consideration, then people will behave in kind. We also encourage individual expression and like to hire people with unique talents and personalities, since we believe that type of diversity makes for a more satisfying work environment.
