Symphony™

Applied Perception, QinetiQ North America Technology Solutions Group, has created an unmanned systems software development kit called Symphony™ that leverages open standards to enable rapid capability integration onto QNA’s UxV platforms in a way that ensures compliance with government expectations, and enables interoperability with external customer-selected vendors.

Using Symphony™, developers will be able to concentrate on creating new capabilities, rather than infrastructure.

The Symphony™ framework provides the following:

• A software architecture definition and component framework, supported by tools and documentation.
• Debug, analysis, and simulation tools to reduce release cycle time and post-release defect count.
• System and component level configuration management.

The development tools enable the creation of software and capabilities that conform to the Joint Architecture for Unmanned Systems (JAUS) and other component architectures and standards (e.g. STANAG 4586) to ensure a high level of technology independence.

Symphony™ is being beta tested by government and industry, with the goal of a Version 1.0 later this year.
