Overview

Applied Perception has expertise in several areas related specifically to indoor and outdoor robotics and unmanned ground vehicle technology development and deployment, as well as to the broader areas of perception, artificial intelligence, and sensor fusion. More concretely, we have substantial experience in: obstacle detection and characterization using laser, radar, and vision sensors in indoor and outdoor environments; real time image processing for feature extraction and robot localization; machine learning and algorithm adaptation based on sensor input to enable more robust robot actions; multi-sensor integration and data fusion for position estimation and localization; path planning and navigation; and sensor visualization and graphical user interface development.
